ABOUT THIS ITEM

The popular Small World Disco Edits imprint returns with number six in the label's always-for-the-floor edits. One Man Edit is the man weilding the scissors and opens his account with "Feeling Dance", an Afro-tinted funky disco groover with a hooky male vocal ('You make me feel like dancing...'), nice guitar, a bit of a female vocal chorus and strings. Check out the sax solo. "Waiting" comes out of the same grinding disco-funk box as Edwin Starr's "You Got The Stuff", kicking off with funky rhythm guitar, chunky bass, clavinet keys and a simple but effective soul vocal - altogether it's one hypnotic groove. Lastly we have the boogie-touched disco groove of "The Kreeper" (my money's on 1977 track "The Creeper" by the wonderfully-named Pumkin Delivery). This is a mid-tempo funky jam with nice female vocal interjections and a fat bass riff.
