Reflecting his DJing adventures in Croatia as part of the Garden Festival team, Ole Smokey presents the following edits on a limited 10"...

On side A we get Lucio Battisti's "Amarsi Un Po". The deep, chugging baseline and gentle guitar work sit well with the Italian crooning of Lucio before the percussion kicks in, building into a synth string fuelled, euphoric vocal crescendo of pure joy. You can feel the sun on your face when this is played… Italian pop royalty Lucio Battisti recorded 18 albums between 1969 and 1994, "Amarsi Un Po" was taken from the album "Lo, Tu, Noi Tutti" from 1977.

Flip it for Alan Parsons Project's "Time". Gentle keys laps at your ears like the sea on the shores of the Adriatic, before the warm strings wash over you enhanced by the lush harmonies and vocals…

Both tracks are sun soaked and sound perfect with your toes dipped in the clear blue waters of the Croatian coastline...
