ABOUT THIS ITEM
Hailing from Sao Paulo, Nomumbah was conceived by experiment musicians Ale Reis, Andre Torquato and Rafael Moraes and together they present their debut album on Yoruba Records "Love Moves". The trio are steeped in the traditions of Brazilian music, yet there is nothing traditional about them. They fuse jazzy elements, broken rhythms, Latin overtones and deep house while still capturing the essence of Brazil's cultural beauty. Mostly known for their rework of Lo Borges' "Tudo Que Voce Podia Ser", which appeared on the "Ibara: River Crossing" compilation, the group has received critical acclaim from the likes of Jazzanova.
