Hot on the heels of the critically acclaimed 2006 solo LP "On Leaving" comes "You Follow Me", a collection of all new songs recorded by the duo of Nina Nastasia and Dirty Three's Jim White. Jim White has become a guest musician of choice for acts such as Will Oldham, Bonnie Prince Billy, Smog and Nick Cave, to mention but a few. "You Follow Me" is once again a vehicle for Nina's rare gift of a voice, and her concise, hook-laden songwriting, surrounding themes of love, longing and loss, childhood, dreams and human dramas. Augmented by peerless drummer Jim White, it is nevertheless a very different record, and one that documents two musicians at the height of their powers, somewhere between a duel and a dance.
