ABOUT THIS ITEM
This is the album which spawned "Blue Monday"(needless to say these arty buggers didn't include it on the record) and features spacious, electronic pieces amidst two stone classics. "Age Of Consent" with its propulsive Hook bassline and V.U. slashing Bernard outro (which would become a trademark) and the beautiful "Your Silent Face" were still included on the band's final tour. Once again, though, it's the non-album singles which continued to make this band truly special. "Blue Monday" you know, but its follow-up of sorts, the Arthur Baker co-write "Confusion" is a deadcool slice of electro-pop, whilst the slow, chunky, warm and melodic "Thieves Like Us" is considered by some to be one of their greatest ever moments.
