ABOUT THIS ITEM
Nat Johnson started the band Monkey Swallows the Universe in 2003 and the band went on to release two critically acclaimed albums. The five-piece were asked to tour with the likes of Richard Hawley, the Long Blondes and Camera Obscura, played a host of festivals and performed live sessions for Radio 4 and 6music among others. The band announced an 'indefinite hiatus' at the end of 2007 and Nat then embarked on a solo career and has recently been recording at the Sickroom in Norfolk, working on her first solo album. Her debut solo single, "Dirty Rotten Soul" is released on Thee SPC. It is backed with a cover of "Mexico" by Cake and the limited edition CD also has two bonus demo tracks.
