ABOUT THIS ITEM

Mizz Beats is back on Eglo with another essential double header.

First up is "Scientific Brainpriest", a slo-mo, 4/4 boom-bappin' hip hop ride that suddenly takes off with intricate jazzy, electroid keyboard lines. However it's the reappearance of her notorious 'Pimpin'' track, previously available on a blink-and-you'll-miss-it white label 10", that will cause all the fuss (again) here. A cross pollination of upbeat Latino-house beats, jazz-fusion grooves, classical arrangment and grimey sonics, it's one of those crossover tunes that woks on many different floors - UK funky, house, grime etc. The track premiered over two years ago when Mizz Beats featured it in her guest mix for Mary Anne Hobbs on Radio 1. Ever since it has been heavily supported by Alexander Nut on his Rinse Fm show, the track has recently become a firm favourite of DJs like Brackles, Scratcha DVA, James Priestly and Benji B.
