ABOUT THIS ITEM
From the edit suite of El Diablo’s Social Club main man Neil Diablo come three more original cuts, sliced, diced and re-tweaked for your listening and dancing pleasure. This time riding out under the alias The Midnight Chopper, Neil turns his attention away from the over-subscribed disco edit scene, instead focusing on something a bit more bearded, a bit more rock. However, while there might be beards in evidence on the original tracks Neil has chosen to wield his edit scissors on, there will be little time for beard-stroking, as all three cuts have a swagger in their hips that will propel listeners to any adjacent dancefloor.
"Somebody Calling" gives Robin Trower a subtle filleting, turning out a slow and sleazy Balearic rock jam. Chop number two, “Roxette”, chases Dr. Feelgood round the room with a meat cleaver, making the London pub rockers even more tight and spiky on one of their standout tracks. Last, but not least, Chop number three: the beards are in full flow as ZZ Top lay down some of their southern boogie-rock on 80s classic “Cheap Sunglasses”. Forget about the Midnight Chopper, this is the perfect soundtrack for a ride on a Texas Chopper!
