For many years now Helsinki has been herald of change for electronic music. From the trails blazed by the notorious left-thinkers Clouds and the Skweee movement to the consistent contributions from dubstep main men Tes La Rok and Desto. Here we present the unsung hero of Helsinki hardcore, Michael Black Electro. First up we have Desto's mix of "Agape", where he keeps up his rep as a forerunner in the future garage movement fusing clattering drum and Low-end fuzz with MBE’s buttery vocals. Thrown in an ultra catchy dose of chorus super-flu and you have the world first wonky, future garage fusion anthem! With a svelte back catalogue to turn many electronic artists green, a Clouds remix of "Mustang" is as rare as it is anticipated. Here astral piano keys haunt a loping yeti of 8bit crushed percussion and grumbling low-end. A heady mix hynotic time signature and thump. As co-members of Helsinki’s futurist hip hop collective Ceebrolistics both Teeth and RPK represent the next wave of talent about to explode across the UK. Teeth fusing techno minimalism with classic garage swing, while RPK takes it back to the boom clap of Hip Hop’s nostalgic dreams of yesterdays tomorrow.
