ABOUT THIS ITEM
Pick of the week for me this one, charging in from the farthest reaches of the industrial cosmos with an EP of turbo-charged mechanized tech-funk. "Sonagli" kicks things off with suspended synthetic strings, tough industrial 4/4 drums and some heavy stabs n pads. A little Detroitian in its approach but veering more towards the big outdoor terrace sound with its tropical inflictions. "Stabby Ladd" is a creepy slow motion chugger which totally abuses the 909 alongside sine tone effects, bit crushed washes and acidic corrosion spewing from every orifice. It’s one of those tracks that HAS to be played in a club, and will completely destroy heads if done so. Just make sure your finger's close to the strobe switch. "Sorry For Your Ears" flips the script for an ambient, drifty club tool with layers of percussion, bass, atmospheres and pads placed delicately and precisely around the mix. Although a million miles from "Stabby Lad" - it'll still disorientate and fuck with the floor, just in a totally different way - all anti-gravity and no beat to hold you down. Highly recommended, move fast.
