The band explain what it's all about: 'The first track on our debut album being called "Death To Los Campesinos!" is quite a statement. It's partly about how aware of your influences you are when you're writing music. It's difficult for me not to attempt to emulate or imitate my favourite lyricists. But it's also about how a lot of bands ignore that, and the result is huge amounts of copycat bands. Like the whole post-Libertines thing. The 'fighting a robot' reference is about fighting how you feel... struggling to not change, and fighting what you see yourself becoming. This was probably the first song we ever wrote.'
