Domino Records deliver a comprehensive retrospective of seminal New York punk-funk band Liquid Liquid. Featuring Scott Hartley, Richard McGuire, Salvatore Principato and Dennis Young, Liquid Liquid released a series of influential EPs on the legendary 99 Records label from 1981 - 1985. Orbiting around a core configuration of drums, bass, marimba and percussion, Sal Principato's voice incanted and chanted. As well as an intensity to the grooves that is very much of its time - you can hear the group reaching for every note and beat – Liquid Liquid were locked together by a sticky looseness that is as head-noddingly infectious now as it must have been desirously strange at the time. The classic EPs are included here amongst four long lost studio recordings and eight live tracks.
