ABOUT THIS ITEM

100% cheese but God is it good! Both sides of this Casablanca replica 12" feature full length versions (7 mins plus) of two of the label's biggest hits. Steve Greenburg's Lipps, Inc. released "Funkytown" in 1979, a track which came up with the perfect blend of 70s disco funk and 80s electronic dance. Even Dave Clarke plays electric violin to this when he plays it, so enough said. Irena Cara's theme song from the 80s dancin' movie Flashdance always brings to mind images of a sweat-drenched Kevin Bacon skipping through puddles, but that's another story altogether. Produced by Giorgio Moroder, it begins as a power ballad before suddenly shifting gears to the most uplifting, singalong since "I Will Survive"
