ABOUT THIS ITEM
Smalltown Supersound hit us with a double helping of Lindstrom remix twelves (see also Rub N Tug and Owen Pallett's remixes of "Deja Vu"), with tracks taken from his album "Six Cups Of Rebel". This first EP comes reworked by man of the moment Ariel Pink, Oneohtrix Point Never and Mark McGuire (of Emeralds fame).
"Call Me Anytime" gets the Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti treatment, which is an epic, experimental offering that shifts between the avant garde (the spoken vocal loops remind me of the leftfield art installations I've recently been wandering about in) and the dancefloor. Perfect for the left of centre DJ. Oneohtrix Point Never give the same track a beautiful ambient, choral drone style remake. Lastly Mark McGuire picks up his 'axe' and gets busy with the delay and multitracked loops on his 'Roadchief Remix' of "De Javu" - cosmic disco-rock ahoy!
