LCD Soundsystem's version of "Bye Bye Bayou" is a stunning re-introduction of the band to the world. The track is a cover of an Alan Vega song from his 1981 debut album, and will not feature on the forthcoming LCD album. "Bye Bye Bayou" is eight+ minutes of classic LCD Soundsystem; deep hypnotic disco-not-disco grooves with a subtle vocal that works its way into your head. The flipside features an acapella version, which I'm sure will prove useful to DJs with a bit of imagination. The track really whets the appetite for that upcoming third LCD album due for release in March 2010.
