All female quartet Kleenex formed in Switzerland in 1978 but had to change their name to LiLiPUT in 1979 due to the threat of legal action from tissue makers Kimberly-Clark, slimming down to a trio along the way. They released their debut Kleenex single in 1978, with a LiLiPUT album on Rough Trade in 1982 (both now a sought after and selling for silly prices on Discogs etc), filled with the band’s exuberant sound, combining spirited thrashy post-punk with unconventional vocals and lyrics (both in English and German), and a more adventurous punk-jazz funkiness. Definitely one for fans of The Raincoats (who they frequently toured with) Delta 5, The Slits, Swell Maps, Essential Logic and Bush Tetras - I'm sure you're reaching for your wallet already!

On the live CD The first 10 tracks were recorded in Biel (when they were still called Kleenex) and the next 14 were recorded in Zurich in 1983 as LiLiPUTT. Both include never before released songs and the sounds of a world-class band in their prime. The DVD is a document of their 1982 European tour and includes TV studio quality sound and video as well as super-8 footage.
