Jeffrey Lewis, home-spun songwriter and comic book writer / illustrator extraordinaire, returns with his second album for Rough Trade. "It's The Ones Who've Cracked.." sees Jeffrey augmenting his trademark sharp-witted modern take on the acoustic folk style with newfound diversity and instrumentation (viola, keyboards, tamboura and various 'found' sounds). This album perfectly echoes his amazing live shows of intimate finger-picked songs and narratives, garagey thrashing, psychedelic lullabies, as well as sporadic unlikely cover songs.
