ABOUT THIS ITEM

Limited white label of bootleg remixes from Jacques Greene who's fresh off remixing Radiohead at the personal request of Thom Yorke. Things start with "What U R". I wish I was more up on my ladies R'n'B as I have the singers name on the tip of my tongue but just can't nail it. Anyway, Greene adds a backdrop of swingin', UKF rhythms and an acidic, synthetic backdrop to the soulful female vocal acapela, to create a real sing-a-long / dancefloor destroyer that is as unique as it is stimulating. "I Like You" is a darker affair, with a proper UK bassline bubbling away beneath the mix while syncopated drums rattle away. The hook builds slowly, with a chiming, bleepy melody soon rising up in the mix before dropping into a powerful breakdown. "Motivation" closes the EP and returns to some female vocal-led R'n'B / tech hybrid action (infact I'm quite sure that the vocal off this is in the charts right now - I've heard it blasting out the phones on the 101). The vocal squeals and screams under Greene's clever manipulation while emotive synth washes glide through the mix and footwerk-style snares give a marching stutter. A good anthemic hit to get the floor united toward the very end of the session. Super limited - blink and you'll miss it!
