I've been really impressed with everything I've heard by Slovenian cosmician Igor Skafar, aka Ichisan, so far - and this new 12" for Under The Shade is no expection. "Magnetic Field" heads off into the stratosphere riding waves of lush cosmic synths and a dancefloor-friendly tempo disco-house rhythm. "Rear Window" drops its shoulder and shimmies round the dancefloor on electro-disco rollerskates. Like label forerunner Jiscomusic, Under The Shade can call upon some impressive remix talent, and for this release we have The Off Key Hat (Untracked) adding some acid disco, and Walter Jones (DFA) going into deep house mode. Lovely.
