NYC-based duo House of House's "Rushing to Paradise" 12" (Whatever We Want) has to be one of the biggest tunes of 2009. Hitting these shores early on in the year, the track is a massively uplifting Balearic piano uplifter which put a new marker down for the quality expected of house tunes released this year. Clocking in at 13 minutes and weaving through the high peaks and deep valleys of human emotion, "Rushing to Paradise" became synonymous with the word 'epic'. And now folks, House Of House release the beast again - and this time it's even bigger. As well as the original (that's wiped the price off those WWW originals on Discogs!), we also get a remix from DJ Harvey. Not PJ Harvey (although that might be quite interesting), not Harvey the giant invisible rabbit, not Brian Harvey from bad-boy boy band East 17, but DJ Harvey. Flipping the coin, Harvey ditches much of the epic lushness from the original and gets down to business with a driving hypnotic piano house version tailor-made for dropping at 2am. You know you need it.
