Good Guy Mikesh (producer) and Filburt (DJ, record store owner and club scene veteran) met in Leipzig and began to merge their creative musical capacities two years ago (I think that's Euro sales notes for 'do stuff in the studio together'). A convolution of disco, pop and tech-house emerged from their collaborations, some of which is showcased on this new Mirau 12", and previous Permanent Vacation EP. "Cleaning Up" is a driving house number with hints of electro-pop, while "Serpico" wears its Italo / cinematic Euro-disco influences well. The big draw here is obviously the Mark E rework - one of his more upbeat house excursions, and definitely worth checking out. The EP closes with beautiful swinging tech-house track "Taurus Sleeps", for those of you who like it really deeeeeeep.
