Gil, Brian and The Midnight Band's second LP for Arista, recorded in 1975. It includes the funky anti-apartheid anthem "Johannesburg", beautiful, spiritual soul-jazz ballads like "A Lovely Day" and "Beginnings (The First Minute Of A New Day)" (confusingly, like many of Gil's tracks, NOT on the album of the same name) and total Strata East style freeform jazz freakouts like "Essex". Amazing.
