Following on from his "Ad lib" and "Hi Note" albums, "The Latin Kick" again places Gerardo Frisina right at the heart of the dancefloor again, serving up some fantastic Latin-jazz swingers, all with a contemporary twist. As well as six original compositions here, there's also covers of Freddie Hubbard's "The 7th Day" and 1960s Pele tribute "Gosto Do Que E Bom", which take in samba, bossa, house and straight up Latin-jazz dancefloor killers.
