Originally released in 1977 "Music Is My Sanctuary" features co-arrangement and production from Bartz and the Mizell brothers, as well as having major vocal involvement from Syreeta Wright on the classic title track and super-charged "Funked Up" (not listed on the sleeve or label, but belive me, it IS there on the record!!), and guest musicians like Eddie Henderson swelling the ranks. This just has to be one of the best jazz-funk long players of all time - just check the first five tracks. Essential!!
