ABOUT THIS ITEM
With his leaning towards more soulful / funky and jazz sounds, Onur Engin's edits have been lighting up our record collections this past year or so. After releases on Square Records and his own label, now he joins the esteemed GAMM imprint for another couple of killer dancefloor cuts. First off we get a massive edit of Freddie Hubbard's soul-jazz anthem “Sunflower” which you might already know as the original sample source for Pepe Bradock's deep house classic “Deep Burnt”. If soul-jazz with a disco touch is your bag, look no further! On flip we get an edit of Flowers' 1976 2-step soul / boogie rarity “For Real”. This is one of the most hard to find soul gems on the collecters market (166 people want that original 7" on Discogs, but no-ones selling!), and you can see why as soon as the needle hits the grooves - a sublime piece of dancefloor soul music!
