ABOUT THIS ITEM
Food Of The Gods features another of Whatever We Want's dream-team collaborations: These tracks are produced by Miho Hatori (ex-lead chanteuse of the groundbreaking Grand Royal outfit Cibo Matto) and Thomas Bullock (Rub N Tug, Map Of Africa), with a line-up that includes Harvey on drums, Tim Koh on guitar and Eddie Ruscha on bass, alongside Hatori (vocals) and Bullock (keyboards), with everyone lending a hand on the percussion front (always a good thing!). On "Boy From Brazil", their debut WEW offering the combo deliver a delicious piece of low-slung, percussive post-punk style cuteness. "Poison Apple" sounds like one of the more Krautrock-influenced cuts off PIL's "Metal Box", but fronted by Hatori's distinctive vocal rather than Lydon's sneering. Superb!
