ABOUT THIS ITEM
Rush Hour kicks off its E series, which is about today’s electronic music in all its interesting shapes and sizes, and by new and upcoming producers. Opening the show is NYC-based Falty DL, already well-known for his releases on Planet Mu and Ramp. His sounds shift and glide between hip hop, funk, dubstep, house and techno, and it is this cross-breeding which gives Falty DL his signature sound. With "All In The Place" he delivers one of his best releases to date. Four tracks that sound classic, yet futuristic at the same time. EP title track "All In The Place" kicks things off laying down some Warp bleep era style acid techno - nice and simple. "St. Marks" filters a soulful vocal over some skippy garage beats. "Discoko" is another acid track, but on a slo-mo electro-funk tip - reminiscent of Global Communication stuff I thought. Lastly we have another future garage bomb in the shape of "Groove". Essential EP!
