This is the first ever release on seven inch single of the legendary original version of Drizabone's modern soul classic "Real Love".

A now hard to find white label 12" of "Real Love" was pressed up in 1991 by the band to create a buzz. It featured vocals from Sophie Jones. The subsequent hype lead to Island / 4th & Broadway signing the group. However, other commitments meant Sophie could not stay with the group and so a new recording of "Real Love" featuring Dee Heron on vocals was made and became a hit. Three years later new vocals by Kimberley Peer were used on a re-release that also charted.

Over the years the original Sophie recording, which was championed by KISS FM on the original 12", has become massively in demand on both the Modern Soul & Northern Soul scenes. It is so obscure that many Soul fans have never heard it; they have just been told how good it is!
