ABOUT THIS ITEM
The eleventh episode of Disco Deviance comes straight out of Liverpool in the UK from the emerging talent that is Cosmic Boogie. Starting out as a collective (inspired by local DJ legend Greg Wilson) based around the Cosmic Boogie website, which is dedicated to pushing groove-based music and knowledge about the scene, Cosmic Boogie has developed into a DJ persona and quality imprint in its own right. For this release Cosmic Boogie edits, blends, overdubs and adds fx too a couple of all time classic tracks, turning them into hot new versions that are ready to rock those disco dancefloors. On the A-side Electra's seminal disco-dub cut "Feels Good" gets melded with Candi Staton's accapella from "You Got The Love". The result is a mesmerising, hands-in-the-air anthem that unites two amazing originals into an ecstatic dancefloor union. Meanwhile on the flip side, Cosmic Boogie pays homage to one of his all time favourite artists on "Heads" which reworks the original live version of "Slippery People", extends it, subtly overdubs it and takes it to the limit. Both tracks have been ripping up dancefloors and festivals throughout the summer from Ibiza to Rockness to the Big Chill to Bestival, when played by Greg Wilson, Dicky Trisco and Cosmic Boogie himself.
