ABOUT THIS ITEM
Meet Desto. Ramp Recordings found him wandering the streets of Helsinki, eating canned tuna and drinking the water from a tin of hot dogs, desperately clutching armfuls of sticky future garage twelves. Starting off in spacey 2step rhythms, a falling over bassline, and breaking down into an euphoric 8-bit cascade, the epic “Disappearing Reappearing Ink” finally reaches wax after being on dubplate and in the DJ boxes of pretty much everybody all year. On the flip, “Broken Memory” was given its first exclusive airing by Oneman on Radio 1 to much acclaim, and takes more of a straight up approach, and retains all of the fluid C64 chiptune beauty. DJ support from Rob Da Bank, Oneman, Brackles, Sinden, Floating Points, Clouds, Mary Anne Hobbs.
