David Woods takes a break from Larry Tiger for this half-of-Tiger-&-Woods three track edits EP on the pair's own Editainment label. To be honest, this sounds SO like the work of Tiger & Woods as a duo, you'd be hard-pressed to tell the difference. Big floor-filling boogie-disco source material? Check. Pumped up basslines? Check. Clever drop-outs, 'live' sounding EQing and filtering? Check. Yep, all those Tiger & Woods elements that make their edits esssential for DJs who like a packed peak-time dancefloor are present and correct. Main track “License To Drill" is a straight-up charger, with a little hooky vocal and well-crafted heat-raising re-editing for max dancing potential. Want a bit of booty shakin' with yo' boogie? Try “Slazenger 1″, a proper bumpin' looper with the squelchiest acid bassline around. Lastly we have “1:00:00″ - set for that 1am moment when the crowd is ready to - ahem - go right off.
