Carwyn Ellis comes home to West Heath Studios and AED for the fifth Colorama album, recorded with the firm line-up of Dave Page and Luca Guernieri and produced by Edwyn Collins and Sebastian Lewsley.

Carwyn has blessed so many projects with his talents over the years, but Colorama, and especially this latest record, displays his gifts as a song writer, arranger and singer that until about six years ago he kept hidden. He’s an intrigue when it comes to his own music, not easily defined. It’s got psychedelic touches, quirky lyrical styles, strange subject matter and all overlayed with gorgeous playing and Carwyn’s distinctive voice.

For the last eight years Carwyn has been a rock of Gibraltar for Edwyn (particularly during his period of recovery from illness). They work intuitively together and it has been Edwyn’s deep pleasure to help produce Colorama’s latest and greatest work.
