When originally released in 2003 this was the first album in four years (if you don't count the "Covers Album") from one of the premier female singer-songwriters of our generation, Chan Marshall, AKA Cat Power. The album ranges from slow fragile songs with delicate strings, guitar and piano accompanying her almost whispered vocals, to more complex uptempo tracks. Recommended.
