Italians Do It Better's new sister edit label Perseo deliver a second dose of disco editing, this time from rising star Bottin. Venice native William Bottin is known mainly for his slick glossy Italo-inspired productions and remixes on labels like Italians Do It Better, Bearfunk and Nang. This time he puts his signature spin on a couple classic tracks turning them into essential Italo-disco floor-fillers. He kicks off with a re-vamp of a Steve Miller Band classic "Fly Like An Eagle", which you may be thinking 'again?!' about, but is given hot new legs (wings?) here – you will need this. On the B-side he takes on Level 42's jazz-funk anthem "Star Child" (a Francois K favourite me thinks) and irons out those angular rhythms, welding the uplifting vocals to an infectious chugging electro-disco backing track. Much more than an edit, yet not a remix per-se Bottin has done something special this time!
