Number two in Bottin's private press "Artifacts" series. We think that this one is even better than "Artifacts 1", which sold out in a day and is now going for silly money on Discogs (none sillier than Bottin himself, who's got one on for 100 Euros!). As with the previous offering, Bottin has dug deep in his own personal collection of Italo gems, digging out "Aextacy" for side A. This is BRILLIANT! Upbeat and bursting with energy, touched with camp but not overpowered by it, and featuring everything from jazz-funk keybaords and a live bassline, to a big chorus and a post-punk style female vocal, this will leave you breathless. On the flip we get "Teak Lover" - pure Italo electrodisco with a bouncing arpeggiated bassline and bombastic synths. Did New Order influence this, or did this influence New Order? Italo disco just doesn't get much hotter then this. Recommended!
