ABOUT THIS ITEM
Slamming techno from Blawan on Black Sun Records. Fast cementing his unique sound amongst the great blueprints in techno history, Blawan's sound is lo-fi but speaker destroying. Hats sizzle so hot they smoke needles and you're lucky if your stylus stays in the groove when those big fat fuck-off kick drums come charging in. "Scarborough Harbour" and "Breathe Them Knees In" are both loopy, aggressive and hypnotic, with barely any let up with the relentless pummeling of drums. "Grafter Gets A Home" uses some strange manipulated vocals against a backdrop of ominous atmospherics and rattling percussion while "6 to 6 Lick" is just as foreboding. These are tracks made for late, late on into the session, when smoke is spewing out of the doors to the club, when the dancers look more like zombies than people and you can smell the ecstasy mixed with the sweat off the walls (well you used to be able to at Tribal Sessions anyway...). Proceed with caution!
