ABOUT THIS ITEM
When Booker T. Jones, producer of Withers' 1971 debut LP "Just As I Am", wasn't available for the follow up, the singer-songwriter went in the studio with members of the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band, and together they made the even finer and funkier "Still Bill" in 1972. Featuring classics like "Use Me", "Who Is He (And What Is He To You)?" and "Lean On Me", the LP ranks alongside the work of Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, Curtis Mayfield and Stevie Wonder from the same era.
