This stunning album from Big Star was originally released in 1978, three years after it was recorded and after the band had disintegrated. Pretty much a solo record by remaing member Alex Chilton, this is a startling slice of rock verite. It manages to capture the sound of a band in decay and a songwriter frantically trying to hold things together, musically and personally.
