ABOUT THIS ITEM

‘TOYS’ (aka the more risque 'Take Off Your Shirt') is the new four track EP from multi-instrumentalist Bibio, and the third single taken from his acclaimed album ‘Mind Bokeh’.

Lead track ‘Take Off Your Shirt’ is one of the many standout tracks on the album - a hooky 80s style pop-rock outing (think Phoenix etc) that pushes vocals and guitar to the forefront in a witty lament of suburban excess that's been getting plenty of daytime Radio 1 play. There's also an 80s, Prince-esque (circa 'Dirty Mind') reworking of the lead track, re-titled ‘Take Off Your Skirt’, for added 80s pop appeal. We also get two more brand new bonus tracks; 'You Were Right' has a similar 80s electro-funk feel, complete with vocoder vocals, Scritti Politti-style keybaords and wailing guitar solos, but in a kind of reimagined-by-Boards-Of-Canada style. Kind of... Lastly 'Chancylvania' sticks with the electro-funk vibes, but pushing those wonkoid hip hop breaks to the fore as well - think Fulgeance, Onra, Krystal Klear etc.
