Following the release of their self-titled debut album on Strut (one of our favourite long players of 2011!), Arthur's Landing are back on Brennan Green's Chinatown label with two of the album's best cuts. Featuring a band consisting of musicians and singers who actually played with Arthur Russell back in the day, Arthur's Landing pay homage to the multi-talented songwriter / producer / genius with recreations of his tracks. Taken from "Love Is Overtaking Me", "Your Motion Says" is that classic Russell combination of soft-rock and dreamy Balearic disco, which Arthur's Landing extend into an epic groove. Sublime. From the rare "Another Thought" album comes "Lucky Cloud", a delicious slice of post-punk dub-disco with much reverb and echo. Includes vocal and instrumental versions.
