Andre Crom and Martin Dawson join Berlin's Exploited label with this little number that's already been championed by Pete Tong, Solomun and Hot Chip. Like Summer's "Higher Feel" by Consistent on the same label, "Need You Back" is a sweaty, druggy tech-house banger for the strobe-powered main room. With a distinctly UK synth sound but a Chi-town swing, the pair work the filters and delays to great effect, creating a UK-US house hybrid with a cleverly placed 'Letnomanputasunder' vocal sample. The Homework remix goes even techier, with a cascading digital arp trickling through the mix and more synthetic, radiant sounds, this is definitely for very late on into the session. The breakdowns are suitably long, drawn out and druggy; just made for staring all glazed-eyed around at the rest of the dancefloor in sheer exuberance and ecstasy.
