To my ears All About Eve were always more of a rock band than an indie outfit and these acoustic versions recorded live go a long way to prove the point. Julianne Regan's voice is as beguiling as ever and shows just how talented she is. Bad luck dogged the band (that horrendous Top Of The Pops appearance) but this excellently priced double CD should show fans their belief in them wasn't entirely misplaced.
