After the inclusion of Actress's "Crushed" on the most recent Prime Numbers EP, the label deliver a whole 12" dedicated to one of their favourite contemporary producers. "Ghosts Have A Heaven" is a heavily stripped-down, minimally constructed piece built on a heavyweight kick drum whilst given movement and accentuated by filtered synth washes and sub-bass which change subtly throughout the track. Side 2 features two cuts from Actress's debut CD on Werk Discs. CD title track "Hazyville" is a twisted piece of electro-funk expertly compressed and crackling with static energy. Superb locking and popping lace the track sounding something like the avant gardism of "Subway Theme" from the Wild Style O.S.T pushed confidently into 2009. Finally "Redit 124" provides a deep clipped jackin' groove with a glitchy feel. The beats are worked and moulded along with fizzing synths and jerky keys to produce a quality hybrid of sounds with its own idiosyncratic style firmly in place.
