Aardvarck brings us the "Anti Concept EP", a vinyl sampler for his latest and third album on Eat Concrete Records. This EP showcases a personal taste for deep ambient and minimalistic textures, dub, Detroit techno and heavy ragga beats. The A-side mixes six ambient and (sub)bass-heavy soundscapes, offering a fine view inside Aardvarck's carefully crafted world of sound. If you like Thomas Koner etc, you'll love this. The flipside offers three dancefloor tracks, reminiscent of his recent "Bloom" and "Gloom" releases. Scary, fierce and powerful, Aardvarcke's sound palette is one of dystopian decay and interplanetary warfare. With some brilliant tracks to abuse your 10-stack Funktion1 rig with plus some beautifully dreamy (if pretty dark) beatless numbers, this is a wonderful EP of new sonic landscapes and speaker melting production.
