Live At The Wiltern

The Rolling Stones embarked on the Licks World Tour in 2002 & 2003 to celebrate their 40th anniversary, featuring the band performing in arenas and stadiums, in addition to the occasional theater. In November 2002, the Stones arrived in Los Angeles to perform at a packed Wiltern Theatre, treating fans to a set heavy on rarities which feel right at home in such an intimate setting. While some of the hits are performed, this night at the Wiltern is for the rarely played classics, including “Stray Cat Blues”, “No Expectations” and a cover of “Everybody Needs Somebody To Love” featuring a guest spot by the legendary Solomon Burke, who opened the show that night.

    Noah Kahan

    Stick Season

Following the release of his sophomore album, Noah continued to write and record, unlocking a new level of himself as an artist and songwriter.

Rife with fluttering guitar melodies, inviting vocals, and homey imagery of the northeast on the verge of changing seasons, it represents a massive turning point for him. Kahan’s relationship with his career was altered, his conviction for storytelling and a pursuit of a more organic sound that aligned with the folk music of his upbringing had firmly arrived.

      Tears For Fears

Head Over Heels (Talamanca System Remix)

THIS IS A RECORD STORE DAY 2018 EXCLUSIVE, LIMITED TO ONE PER PERSON.

As per the previous PR for the Talamanca System Tribal Persuasion mix, part of the true spirit of Balearic/Ibiza has always been slightly left field pop - Prefab Sprout, It’s Immaterial, Talk Talk and of course TFF, so TFF are always held in high regard by the Balearic brigade and this song (Head over Heels) in particular. Whilst a slightly daunting prospect to remix, across the 4 remixes (two by Talamanca and two by Mark Barrott) the aim was to capture the original spirit of Ibiza across it’s different moods, from the dance floor to Sunset via the early poly-rhythms of Underworld, the dramatic majesty of Padilla’s Cafe Del Mar and the dubbed out vibe’s of Larry Heard inspired slo mo house.Whilst these are to be enjoyed by all, in many ways their natural home is on vinyl, as they capture that original spirit and re-frame it in a modern context, taking the atmosphere of the original track and intertwining it with all the aforementioned elements of Ibiza’s musical heritage. Packaging will be black in colour.

            Noisettes

            Wild Young Hearts

Two years on from a debut album awash with punk spirit and scorching blues-rock, London trio Noisettes make their return with "Wild Young Hearts", a set of sleek pop songs steeped in soul, dizzy on disco and harking back to the days of blues and jazz greats. From the galloping funk grooves of forthcoming, first single "Don't Upset The Rhythm", to the joyous, jazzy title track, the stomping electro-rock of "Saturday Night", the glorious 60s-tinged soul of "Never Forget You" and the sultry, shimmering pop of "24 Hours", in "Wild Young Hearts", Noisettes have made what is set to be one of 2009's most adventurous albums. Never fond of a formula, the trio always intended a radical musical detour from their acclaimed debut, "What's The Time Mr Wolf?", an album that spawned five singles and took them on tour for over a year, sharing arena stages with Muse and criss-crossing the States with TV On The Radio and Bloc Party. If you can imagine a hybrid of Blondie, Ting Tings and Rihanna, you'll begin to get an idea of how special this new record is. Vocalist Shingai Shoniwa, meanwhile, is fast becoming a style icon with the makings of a modern-day Deborah Harry.

            The Killers

            Day & Age

"Day & Age" is the third studio album from The Killers and is due for release on November 24th on Vertigo. Produced by Stuart Price (Madonna, Missy Elliott and who'd previously remixed "Mr Brightside") the album sees the band experimenting with new sounds and a new style moving into the realm of dance and 'perfect pop' as well as keeping their original anthemic rock sound.

Joe Lean & The Jing Jang Jong

              Where Do You Go?

"Where Do You Go?" encapsulates all that is wonderful about Joe Lean & The Jing Jang Jong within its three perfectly formed minutes. Searing guitars, teenage drama, and an irrepressible chorus all add up to make a song that simultaneously embraces the last 50 years of pop music whilst grinding it under its heel.

                Noisettes

                Scratch Your Name

Noisettes release a new single "Scratch Your Name" taken from their debut album "What's The Time Mr Wolf?"

                  Just Jack

Glory Days - DJ Mehdi Remix

Arriving just in time for the warm spell we're having right now, Just Jack's "Glory Days" is a lazy-Sunday-in-the-park sun-dappled style moocher. This CD single also includes an exclusive pumped-up electrohouse rework by Ed Banger's DJ Mehdi.

                    Thirteen Senses

All The Love In Your Hands

The first single to be taken from their brand new studio album "Contact".

                      The Noisettes

                      Sister Rosetta

Shingai and the boys deliver another short sharp blast of their feisty blues-punk-rock'n'roll.

                        Razorlight

                        America

The second single from their self titled second album is "America", and it's an anthem in the making.

                          The Killers

                          Sam's Town

The second album from The Killers, which sees them shift to a slightly rockier style, has been produced by the band with the legendary production team of Flood and Alan Moulder.

                            The Rapture

Pieces Of The People We Love

Since The Rapture burst onto the scene with the astonishingly good "House Of Jealous Lovers" back in 2002, everyone and their dog has rediscovered early 80s punk-funk and slavishly copied the likes of the Gang Of Four for their own (often second rate) bands. With angular guitar shards, shouty vocals and funky bass and drums becoming one of the ubiquitous sounds of the mid 00s, the returning Rapture had to come up with something pretty good to even get noticed. Luckily for us "Pieces Of The People We Love" is not only pretty good but also fantastic and should re-affirm our faith in the New York outfit's songwriting ability, proving that they're more than just skinny jeans and cool haircuts. Essential!

                              Razorlight

                              In The Morning

Razorlight are back with this cracking first single from their eagerly anticipated second album.

                                Lamb

                                Between Darkness And Wonder

While many of their contemporaries have suffered from 'difficult fourth album' syndrome (or havn't even got that far!), Lamb are back with what are their finest set of tracks to date! The songs and Louise Rhodes vocals are allowed to shine through the dense, multi-layered pastoral-electro-acoustic sounds creating a richly textured set of tracks.

                                  Fake Ideal

                                  Carve Me An Edge

Great angst ridden rock from these four guys from that hot bed of rock'n'roll... Doncaster. Both formats include exclusive tracks.

                                    Alex Harvey

Considering The Situation - A Journey Through The

The remarkable career of Scotland's Alex Harvey is one laced with tragedy and wild creativity. His brother Les, guitarist with Stone The Crows, died on stage in the early 70s and the accident seemed to galvanise Alex into a burst of creative energy, forming a new band, one that cemented his own legend as leader of the Sensational Alex Harvey Band. His career began in the early 60s, (he won a competition as Scotland's answer to Tommy Steele), through a stint in "Hair" and then the SAHB's always fighting the bottle and fate. This comprehensive double is a perfect overview of the career of one of rock's true characters.

                                      Sum 41

                                      Does This Look Infected

UK release of this album includes two bonus tracks "Reign In Pain (Heavy Metal Jamboree)" and "WWVII Parts 1&2".

                                        Sum 41

                                        In Too Deep

                                          Shelby Lynne

                                          Love Shelby

Shelby Lynne - gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. But can she sing? Well yes actually! She turned the conservative Nashville prudes on their heads with her multi million seller "I Am Shelby Lynne", overcoming the bathos of her tragic early life with a new look at alt.country, and this is more of the same. The added redolence of performing John Lennon's "Mother" makes it one of the album's many highlights.

                                            Lamb

                                            What Sound

They've enrolled the help of some famous friends for this latest entry into the leftfield / downbeat / future funk / electronics selection of modern music. Arto Lindsay, Michael Franti, Scratch Perverts etc. Splendid.
