Warp Transmission

Process Ultra

Creepy Crawl is proud to unleash the second release from Tampere, Finland’s heavy psych over-lords – Warp Transmission.

The previous release – the amazing Tamám Shud, was a reissue of a demo/rehearsal/whatever cassette – this is their first album proper – recorded and produced by the band themselves and then expertly mastered by the legend that is John McBain, former member of Monster Magnet / Hater / ETC

From the arctic circle comes the freshest and least revivalist take on stratospherically exhilarating psychedelic rock since “Spine Of God” was released in 1991, or “Relaxing With” in 1995… turned up, turned on and blasting out of your speakers, this throbbing over-blown riff monster could be the blast of guitar spuzz we need… a furious slab of unrelenting and unforgiving psychedelia.

This debut album proper from Finland’s Warp Transmission will stand up along side the afore mentioned debuts by Monster Magnet and The Heads, as well as the Stooges / Hawkwind / Blue Cheer / On Trial / early Nebula / Union Carbide Productions.. ,, it really is an almost untouchable single LP of speaker gashing, amp blowing, phaser shredding scree… you get to the end?? You simply put it back on again....

Label disclaimer: this is not Stoner Rock, or, indeed Shoegaze…. This is Warp Transmission, primitive-heavy..primordial ooze rock!

SRR2.5 Special Love Songs For Hardworking People In Alarm Clock Britain

Special Love Songs for Hardworking People in Alarm Clock Britain is the new 12” album release on Creepy Crawl. Bringing together 5 tracks with only one previously released on a 50 copy only mailorder cdr (the version on this 12 is a heavier proposition with added Dik Mik audio generator skree). Jan Birth Jam is over 17 minutes of heavy jams in a LRD vein. The new tracks consist of the wah-heavy Broughton misery of No One Likes You, the sludge horror of Pigsquealer, the throbbing electronic cottage of Model ?000 and spaced out Hawkwind folk of Cardinal Drag. All recorded in various places and times over the last few years and housed in a TG sleeve as devised by Sam Giles, Rebecca Cleal and prof. With thanks to Agathe Max, Isambard and the 127.

      Warp Transmission

      Tamam Shud

Straight out of Tampere Rock City - these Finnish fiends are the bastard children of Blue Cheer and Monster Magnet (McBain era natch!) - but do not panic, this is no retro show, they are not throwbacks or wimpy psych wannabe shoegazers - this record ROCKS and it ROCKS HARD!

Originally released on cassette, Creepy Crawl was totally blown away by it and we knew this had to come out on LP/CD - Tamam Shud is part live rehearsal recordings and the rest created at their own Kemian Laboratorio - 8 face melting freakouts with layers of effect laden guitars, spaced out organ and synth and thunderous bass and drums. Remastered for CD/LP reissue and cut loud…. This is unrelenting psyche-rock at its finest… 500 LP / 1000 CD… setting up for a full length later in 2017.

Warp Transmission is a freak accident, the weirdo process ultra, a travel void of reason. It's spaced out, stoner, psychedelic, wastoid, heavy 'n' heady ROCK. It's about riding blind the primal urge, living the archetype, and always rocking out with an excess of noise, burning some bridges and crossing a couple abysses along the way.

        Possessor

        Stay Dead

"Something sinister is looming in the mist…"

Following the success of last year's debut album, "Electric Hell", London’s occult metal monsters POSSESSOR are back with a highly-anticipated follow up in the shape of their new EP, “Stay Dead”.

Maintaining the trio's love for all things vintage and terrifying, the four tracks on display here crackle and explode like it’s the band's last day on earth. Malevolent high speed thrash riffs tumble and crash into a swamp of sludgy old school British doom, bringing to mind the savage lo-fi lunacy of Bathory and Venom with the hooks and claws of vintage Electric Wizard and 90s filth such as L7 and early Nirvana - all as if beamed to us straight from the set of Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Cloaked in a black and white sleeve that brings to mind both Black Sabbath and the hammiest of Hammer Horror flicks, “Stay Dead” will secure Possessor's place in the mysterious annals of British heavy metal, and is a delicious taster for the band's next full length which currently lies festering in the crypt…ready to be resurrected.

“Stay Dead” will be released on 12” clear vinyl in an edition of 500. this is the second release on the Creepy Crawl label…

“Something was creeping and creeping and waiting to be seen and felt and heard.” H.P. Lovecraft.

          Carlton Melton & Kandodo 3

          Split

Carlton Melton lead the charge with three new tracks, recorded at the Dome with Brian MacDougall taping it down and John McBain mastering it for vinyl perfection. This is the Melton soaring into the stratosphere with their own take on spaced travel via olfactory motion. Many would simply say "psych", we say "SPACE" and "NO frontiers!", fly on brothers.

Kandodo 3 is the new "nom de plume" for Simon Price's (The Heads) Kandodo project, having roped in fellow Heads' Wayne Maskell (drum patterns and rhythm driving) and Hugo Morgan (bass throb and guidance) to record under the name Kandodo 3. They take up their whole side with one looping soundscape that jitters and skitters into and around patterns of dub and space, this exhilaratating take on an already pre-determined trajectory is as awesome in its scope as it is in its journey, catch a ride! Mastered by Shawn Joseph (Optimum)

Simon Kandodo Price artwork..... 500 copies only on blue coloured vinyl.
